GromPack Operations Manual
Version 1.0.4 | System Architecture: nRF54L15
1. Initialization
Before deployment, the GromPack telemetry module must be paired and initialized via the host application to ensure a synchronized clock and active logging state.
- Connect the module to the programming jig via the 4-pin SWD interface.
- Flash the latest Zephyr RTOS binary using a standard J-Link programmer.
- Verify the initialization sequence: The onboard micro-LED will pulse rapidly for 3 seconds upon a successful boot.
2. Mounting Protocol
Proper mounting is critical to minimize behavioral interference in the test subject while maintaining optimal antenna orientation.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the dorsal surface is clean and dry.
- Adhesion: Apply a microscopic drop of bio-compatible UV-curing epoxy to the underside of the GromPack PCB.
- Placement: Position the device centrally on the thorax. Expose to 365nm UV light for 10 seconds to secure the bond.
3. Data Acquisition
The module streams high-resolution accelerometer and orientation data. Ensure line-of-sight to the base station for optimal continuous streaming.
Note: If the connection is lost, GromPack automatically
falls back to local flash storage until the link is re-established.
